There are G-10 grips around the stock and backstrap, plus checkering on the front strap and trigger guard. The Legion feels comfortable and secure in your hands. Take care of this gun, and you should have no trouble putting hundreds of rounds through the SIG Legion P226. 45 ACP carbine, it's well-made from low-friction internal components to the Cerakote Elite Legion gray coating. I like Ferrari Steve's.There are no complaints about the reliability of this gun. There are a number of videos on youtube as to how to install a new trigger, or an SRT kit in a P-series SIG. With the SRT kit and the P-SAIT trigger, the reset will be even shorter, since the P-SAIT allows you to virtually eliminate the over travel. With the standard P series trigger or the SIG short trigger and the SRT, the reset for the single action trigger will be very short. The P-SAIT trigger has an adjustment that virtually eliminates trigger over travel. The P-SAIT trigger will reduce the trigger reach compared to the standard P series trigger, but not as much as the SIG short trigger: There is a third trigger option which is the Grayguns P-SAIT trigger. The SIG short trigger will reduce the trigger reach significantly without altering the pull weight or the reset. It will not reduce the trigger reach length in any way, and won't substantially reduce the trigger pull weight for either DA or SA. What the short reset trigger kit does is very markedly reduce the length of the single action trigger reset and reduce its take-up.
